02 / FIND YOUR FOCUS
Start with the view.
Four starting points, based on the equipment above.
03 / KNOW THE DIFFERENCE
Optical power.
Digital zoom.
Different numbers.
A telescope’s eyepiece changes optical magnification. A digital viewer’s zoom enlarges the captured image. The two figures do not describe the same thing.
600 mm ÷ 25 mm = 24×

04 / ABOUT HEXEUM
One name.
Two kinds
of observation.
HEXEUM has appeared on entry-level refracting telescopes and digital night vision binoculars. The familiar 80/600 telescope uses an optical eyepiece; the NV4000 night viewer uses a camera and screen.
This guide keeps that distinction clear. It also separates historical HEXEUM equipment from the differently branded alternatives currently found on Amazon.
Identify the device first.
Compare the numbers second.
05 / OWNER NOTES
A first look
at Andromeda.
A real owner’s account of the HEXEUM 80 mm / 600 mm telescope, shared in 2024.
“With my humble hexeum telescope(the 80mm Aperture 600mm one on amazon) I was able to get my first image of andromeda after stacking about 150~ 3 second exposures stacked.”
The owner used an iPhone 15 and AstroShader to combine many exposures. This is an account of processed photography, not a description of the view through an eyepiece.

06 / BEFORE CHOOSING
A clearer
starting point.
The details that matter before the first night outside.
Are HEXEUM binoculars ordinary optical binoculars?
The HEXEUM NV4000 documented in this guide is a digital night vision device with a screen and infrared illumination. It is different from conventional binoculars that provide a direct optical view through two eyepieces.
Why are other brand names shown in the selection?
The inspected Amazon telescope pages now identify Koolpte, while the selected night viewers identify Vtiisamao. They are labeled Similar Products to keep their current listing identity separate from HEXEUM.
What do 80 mm and 600 mm mean?
80 mm is the objective aperture; 600 mm is the telescope focal length. With a 25 mm eyepiece, that focal length gives 24× optical magnification. A larger advertised magnification alone does not guarantee more detail.
Is 5× digital zoom the same as 5× optical magnification?
No. The selected compact Vtiisamao viewer lists 5× digital zoom, which enlarges the captured image. It should not be compared directly with a telescope’s optical magnification.
What is included for recording?
The selected telescope kits include a phone adapter; a phone is not included. The two digital viewers include memory cards: 32 GB with the 3-inch model and 64 GB with the 3.99-inch model. Their observation tripods are not included.
Does the telescope remote aim the telescope?
No. The selected refractors use manual altazimuth mounts. The supplied wireless remote is for phone photography, not motorized pointing or automatic tracking.
